Thanks to the generous donation in the amount of $500 from Mr. Bouakham and his spouse, Vienganamay Phanthavongsa of Winnipeg, Manitoba, the new adequate school for the children of Ban Ngiew inches closer to reality.

Thank you!

SKL Inc. would like to thank the people of Fresno for their support during Jonny's mini concert on April 29th, 2011 in Fresno. We equally would like to thank those in San Francisco and the surrounding areas for dropping by at our information booth during the 3rd annual Lao International New Year festival which took place on April 30th, 2011, in San Francisco, California. Pictures of the completed and current projects were on display for the occasion. A total of $1533 was raised during both events. SKL Inc. would like to express our special thank you our hosts, Phouthasack and Pathana Keota and the Lao Vieng restaurant of Fresno, and Khamsy, Manivone and Tony Syluangkhot of San Jose for manning the information booth, as well as for their generous support.

We would also like to thank our honorary member and most photographed person in San Francisco, Jonny Olsen, for putting on the great show and for lending a hand at the kiosk. Thanks Jonny.

2011 Fundraising Dinner Results

More than 300 people have journeyed to the Land of a Million Elephants. They were greeted by a Lao hospitality, culture & tradition and the taste of Lao cuisine. The audience were equally awed by the performance of the Lao Traditional Folk Dance Group with their gilded silk outfits, courtesy of the Lao Association of Manitoba. The Journey was spiced-up even more, when Jonny Olsen, our talented volunteer Khene musician from California, took to the stage. The audience were serenated by his unique sound of Khene music throughout the evening. Thanks to our many loyal supporters, volunteers, friends & families and of course our tireless hard working members, a total of $2875 was raised during the event.

Thank you Winnipeg!
